One of my goals this year is to read 12 books. First up is on Eleanor Roosevelt. Title It’s up to the Woman.
I just started this evening after a long day as it feels. What book are you reading and why?

Day 14
I am so happy that I actually finished another book. I am in love of this growth in reading. I am one who is just starting to tap into the fever of reading.
I love to have a physical book to carry with me. To get lost in space and time to read. I posted the book review just a bit ago. Go ahead and read that one.
Hello my fellow friends. I have just finished reading “Night” by Ellie Wiesel. I think that it would be not easy to tell you that you to not just read this book. But the truth is that you should read this book.
Why? 3 reasons. First reason is it is about us. It’s about our history. Not just about Jew and their suffering. It’s what we did as a whole society. It makes me sick to read first hand what what happened.
Second is this a first person account. I am glad that my husband suggested this because it is story that is worth telling and hearing. History needs more of this. We can learn from this and take action. I’m sure glad to have this in our personal library.
Thirdly, if you have any interest in our history. It’s not like any text book account of what happened during the Holocaust . Personal narrative is the place to go to. So powerful and detailed. I felt all the feelings of of the author. I couldn’t help to cry and wanting to rescue everyone. But I was born in a very different time.
Oh my heart be still! I’m definitely going to be a snug bug and read. But before I pick a book for today. I have a question for you. What is your favorite book?
Post your comment below. I use it later today.
Book over to your nearest book. Open it. Read it.
Book over to a nearest kid. Engage them in a good story.
Book yourself to the nearest library. Embrace it. Love it. Know every book and cranny.
Just Book It !!!!
Today word is: Book
Big or small
Old or new
Open it
Keep it or give it away
Our little library is growing. I feel proud librarian in my own right. Have you ever felt that way?
Ross is into science fiction. I’m into kids learning to reading. Anything to start them on that journey. I am excited to share the list for kids of all ages! 😉
Berenstain Bears series, Boxcar Children, and Magic Tree House are going in my library. I’ll have to get my small section at home to share with you.
What books do you recommend? Please feel free to comment below.
Going slowly it feels like. But learning lots in reading this book called Overcoming Distraction: Thriving with ADD/ADHD by David A. Greenwood. I have 40 pages left. That’s cool.
What are you reading? Why?
It’s read across America today. What are you reading? Is it for school? Work? Personal? And why?
I will talk about the book I’m reading in tomorrow post.
I’m not sure if it was fun. But we sure got freaking lot of cleaning done. Boy am I tired. Almost 5,000 steps today.
What did you do today? Anything fun? Or was it relaxing?
Tomorrow is a new day. I’m almost finish with a book! I’m so excited. I will tell you more about the book later. It’s bed time.
Today I want to highlight authors. Zora Neale Hortson. Born in 1891 and died in 1960. One of the book she wrote was “The Eyes Were Watching God”. I may have to put here on to read list!
Have you heard of her? Who is your favorite black author?
Interesting title. I’m zoning out. It’s late for me. But I finished one book already in 2021.
It’s called Sterns County. It’s a visual history of a county in Minnesota. Just west of the twin cities. Pretty interesting read. Short but good read. I can’t wait to pick up more ! Love these types of books.
It’s not to early to start on “I challenge me!!!” Project. And that is what I did yesterday.
In one of post I list reading more. I knew that I had 1-2 hours of available reading on the job. I packed 4 books in my backpack. Took it in with me.
I read some in “Ghost Stories of Minnesota”. I got to a part of the book where it talked about a ghost at one of the local theatre that my fiancé had volunteered and his sister work at. That was pretty cool to read about.
The second book is on Sterns County in Minnesota. Pretty interesting I say. I love history and local is my favorite! Hopefully I’ll get both books by the end of the week.
I am having a list going right now. Of the things I do more or to do better. In no particular order either.
Are these any of my list on your list? How can we support each on this journey. These are just a few. I am going to dig deeper and really work on the list. Hopefully you will see it land here on the blog more.
Day 2
I love giving the gift of reading. Especially to kids. It’s very important for mind of imagination and exploring what is around you. What is your favorite book as a kid?
